Cookie policy
Last updated: 22 October 2026
The short version: this website does not use tracking cookies unless you accept them. (Plus one technical cookie if you enter the demo room.) No Google Analytics. The only advertising tool is the Meta pixel (Facebook and Instagram), and it only loads if you accept advertising cookies in the cookie notice. If you reject them, or say nothing, it does not load.
1. What a cookie is
A cookie is a small file a website stores in your browser. It is used to remember information between visits: from your preferences to, in the worst case, your entire browsing history in order to show you ads.
Alongside cookies there are similar technologies, such as local storage (localStorage) or tracking pixels, which are governed by the same rules.
2. What exactly this website uses
No analytics cookies. For advertising, just one third-party tool, the Meta pixel, and only if you accept it (explained below).
A single technical cookie, and only if you enter the demo room: sd_demo, containing a signed random code, so that you don't have to register every time. It only works inside the demo room, lasts 90 days and cannot be used to track you. As it is necessary to provide the service you request, it does not require you to accept any notice (Art. 22.2 of the Spanish LSSI).
Local storage: your choice in the cookie notice (cookies-marketing, with the value "si" or "no"), kept with no expiry until you change it, so you are not asked on every visit. And, if you use the chat assistant, your browser stores the conversation and a random identifier so it can be resumed. It is not a cookie, it doesn't leave your browser and it can't be used to follow you across other websites. You delete it by clearing the site data in your browser.
This website is built so that it doesn't need to connect to any external server to display. Even the fonts are hosted on our own server, instead of being requested from Google as most websites do. So your IP address doesn't reach third parties just because you came here.
The Meta pixel (only if you accept it)
If you accept advertising cookies in the cookie notice, the pixel of Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd. (4 Grand Canal Square, Dublin 2, Ireland), the company behind Facebook and Instagram, is loaded. It is used to measure whether the ads I run on Facebook and Instagram work (for example, whether someone who saw an ad goes on to contact me or request a quote) and to show you Shyn Design ads if you have already visited the website (known as remarketing).
When you arrive, the notice asks you with two equal buttons, "Accept" and "Reject": rejecting is as easy as accepting. If you accept, only this is measured: that you viewed a page, that you tap a contact or WhatsApp button and that you send a contact or sign-up form. If you reject, nothing from Meta is loaded.
| Cookie | Whose | Why | How long |
|---|---|---|---|
| _fbp | Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd. | Recognising your browser to measure ads and show ads to you | 3 months |
| fr | Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd. | Showing and measuring ads on Facebook and Instagram | 3 months |
Legal basis: your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR and Art. 22.2 of the Spanish LSSI). You can withdraw it at any time from the "Cookie settings" link in the footer, which reopens the notice, and from that moment the pixel stops loading.
For this use, Meta and I are joint controllers for the collection and transmission of that data to Meta; what Meta does with it afterwards is its own responsibility. Meta may transfer data to Meta Platforms Inc., in the USA, with the safeguards of the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework and the European Commission's standard contractual clauses. Full details in Meta's privacy policy.
What this website does NOT have
- Analytics or statistics cookies (no Google Analytics).
- Advertising or profiling cookies, apart from the Meta pixel and only if you accept it.
- Other social media pixels.
- Social buttons that track your visit.
- Fonts, icons or libraries loaded from third-party servers.
- Any advertising that loads before you accept it.
3. Server logs
Even without cookies, the server hosting the website keeps a technical log of visits (IP address, date, time and browser), as any hosting does, for security and to diagnose problems. Those logs are not used to build profiles or for advertising. The details are in the privacy policy.
4. How to manage cookies in your browser
To change your choice about the Meta pixel, click the "Cookie settings" link in the footer of any page: the notice opens again and you can withdraw your consent at any time, as easily as you gave it.
You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings:
Bear in mind that if you block everything, some websites (not this one) may stop working properly.
5. Legislation
This policy complies with Article 22.2 of Spanish Law 34/2002 (LSSI-CE), Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR) and the guidelines of the Spanish Data Protection Agency.
